2019 Field Season Underway!

We have our full compliment of camera installations in for the winter and have already done two checks on some of the stations and have a new wolverine detection for the winter already. Stay tuned for new wolverine photographs, we are currently working on gaining some more publicity for the project with some of our new images so they have yet to be released. See below for a few images from the winter thus far.

We are still actively fundraising for THIS WINTER’S FIELD SEASON. If you’re interested in supporting our work please consider making a donation to the project!

Besides wolverines, we also documented a Clark’s Nutcracker at one of our stations for the first time. These wily birds are another high elevation specialist.
Thanks much to skilled volunteers that have joined us in the field to help with installs and maintenance including IFMGA guide Forest McBrian who donated an entire week of his professional expertise and wolverine passion for our most recent round of camera checks.
American marten continue to have no problems finding our stations, and occasionally making off with our bait!
If you think a marten looks pretty sweet in this location, stay tuned to see what a wolverine looks like! 😉
We managed to get a few extra turns in-between camera checks close to Washington Pass last week.
